book review

Nicky Cruz's Corre Nicky Corre amazes me with its true story and unique style of writting.
Nicky puts himself in the book; he is from Puerto Rico he is also the main character in the book. when he was a kid he was made fun of, because of his parents because of what they do (whitchcraft). Ever since he was a little kid he was made fun of. when he turned 16 his parents decided to send him to New York to life with his older brother, there he look at the world in a different way. When he started to go to school people also made fun of him they see in him a weak person, so  he starts to get in fights to show them that they are wrong. So because of the fighting in school he gets expelled from school. He runs away from his home and lifes on his own now! he looks that the world needs help that its messed up! but he ends up in a gang and just like other kids around him.

Nicky in this book makes so real that I can see the scenes that are going on. For example there is this part when Nicky's mom is talking to some of her friends and for some reason she gets possesed by some spirit and starts to say that Nicky is not her son that he is the sun of Lucifer. When Nicky hears this he starts telling her that he hates her and goes hide under the stairs of his porch and how he has dirt in his face and how he feels and how his mom is wrong and what he thinks.

I can compare this book to what is going on in this world now how many teenagers get involve in gangs because they dont have no love are lost in this world. Also I can make a connection with another book that talks about the same thing and the name of that book is Si Quieres Caminar Sobre Las Aguas.

Corre Nicky Corre is a tremendous book, tells the story of a gang member in desperation, tied to the vices and precion blinded by a constant struggle between the will of God and the street, helps to overcome inner fears overwhelm us, and society it carries in one way or another to be a prisoner of his own addictions, speaks of how God is gradually changing his life, he was near death several occasions, and today is a great servant of God.
